Village of Nothing Much App FAQ

The app is a place for Villagers to come together, enjoy new ways to listen to the shows, access wind-down practices, join live virtual events, participate in community projects, connect with fellow listeners, and so much more!

The app is browser-based so it is available at village.nothingmuchhappens.com and not on any app stores.
To add an icon to your device for easier access, follow these instructions:
On Mobile Devices
* Android (Chrome): Open the website in Chrome, tap the three dots in the top-right corner, and select Add to Home screen. Alternatively, you may see an Install app or a download icon directly in the browser's URL bar.
* iPhone/iPad (Safari): Open the link in Safari. Tap the Share button (a square with an upward-pointing arrow) at the bottom of the screen. Scroll down and tap Add to Home Screen, then confirm by tapping Add.
On Desktop (Windows / Mac)
* Chrome or Edge: Navigate to the website. Look for an installation icon (a computer monitor with a downward arrow or a plus sign) on the right side of the URL bar. Click it and confirm.
* Manual Installation (Chrome): If the icon isn't there, click the three dots in the top-right corner, select Save and share, then Create shortcut. Check the box that says Open as window and click Create.
Our web-based app is interactive software you access directly through an internet browser, such as Chrome, Safari, or Edge.
You'll be able to access it from your phone, tablet, or computer by signing into your account through your browser.

Ad-free listening is available within the app through the browser-based experience with any paid membership.

Ad-free listening is available within the app through the browser-based experience with any paid membership.
All paid memberships will now also include proprietary ad-free RSS feeds of Nothing Much Happens, Stories From the Village of Nothing Much, First This, and Nothing Much Happens with Soundscapes that you can add to other third-party streaming sites.
You can find yours by:
1. Going to Perks within your Village of Nothing Much account profile (while you’re logged in) at: https://village.nothingmuchhappens.com/supporters/perks
2. Clicking on ‘Copy RSS Feed’ under the show you want to add to a third-party streaming player. All shows have to be added separately.
3. Add it to the player of your choice outside of the app!
Important: Since all of these will be third-party streaming services (such as Apple, Castbox, Pocket Casts, Overcast, PodcastGuru, etc.), we suggest Googling “How to add a proprietary RSS feed to Apple Podcasts”, for example, or whatever player you’re trying to add it to for step-by-step instructions. That way, you know immediately if it will be a simple ‘copy and paste’ or if there will be more steps.
Absolutely.
Your current Premium membership and your Village app membership are separate subscriptions. You're welcome to keep both if you'd like.

First, register for the Village of Nothing Much app at village.nothingmuchhappens.com
After signing up, email contact@nothingmuchhappens.com and let us know that:
• You're an Annual Supporting Cast Premium Plus member
• You'd like to keep your Supporting Cast membership
• You're also joining the Village app
We will issue a prorated refund for the remaining time on your current Supporting Cast subscription.
This refund will be returned to your original payment method, typically within 3–5 business days.
Important
This option is available only for Annual Supporting Cast Premium Plus members.
Your Supporting Cast and Village memberships will remain separate subscriptions and may renew at different times.
Future Village of Nothing Much app renewals will account for your Supporting Cast membership so you are not paying twice for ad-free listening.

• You'd like to cancel your Supporting Cast membership
• You're joining the Village app instead
We will cancel your membership and issue a prorated refund for the remaining time on your current Supporting Cast subscription.
This refund will be returned to your original payment method, typically within 3–5 business days.
Apple subscriptions are managed entirely by Apple, and we do not have access to Apple subscription accounts.
We recommend:
1. Contacting Apple Support and speaking or chatting directly with an Apple Customer Service Agent opposed to their automated system
2. Cancel your Apple Subscriber Edition membership
3. Request a prorated refund from Apple
