From the village of nothing much...
Let's get sleepy
Bedtime stories are like a soft landing spot for your mind. Rather than letting your brain race through the same thoughts youâve been chasing all day, we are taking a detour to a calm and comfy place. We tell the story twice and go a bit slower the second time. Each week, we support a meaningful non-profit organization. Explore the causes we've contributed to in past episodes.
Also, listen on â
The Turnaround (Encore)

Off the Beaten Path
Our story tonight is called Off the Beaten Path, and itâs a story about a bit of summer adventuring and the delight of coming across something you never knew was there. Itâs also about stalks of lavender and a copper still in a field, turkeys and treehouses, and taking a road that leads somewhere new.
Beach Walk (Encore)
Our story tonight is called Beach Walk, and itâs a story about meeting the morning light where the water meets the land. Itâs also about the first step into the cool water, a dog chasing a stick into the waves, and a beach towel laid out neatly in the sand.
Sidewalk Chalk (Encore)
Our story tonight is called Sidewalk Chalk, and itâs a story about a journey through the park on a bright day. Itâs also about a cold drink from the coffee shop, a frog blinking from a pond, Alice and the Caterpillar, birch trees and drawings on the sidewalk, and paying more attention when small happy moments wash over you.
Slightly More Happens - July Journeys
Our stories tonight treat us to many sunny moments in and around the Inn. They are stories about a stately home at the end of a long drive, a lake shimmering as rowboats glide across it, coffee cake and names in a ledger and a place to rest and enjoy some of the sweetest days of summer.
In the Map Room (Encore)
Our story tonight is about exploring old maps, discovering hidden corners, enjoying peaceful bike rides, and finding quiet beauty in the simple act of wandering.
Out and Back
Our story tonight is about taking a peaceful evening walk through the countryside, where fresh hay, hickory trees, singing katydids, and the quiet rhythm of a summer night gently remind us to slow down and be fully present.
Slightly More Happens - June Joy
Our stories tonight are about packing up the car for the cottage, lounging by the lake, sailing across the water, swimming on warm afternoons, and falling asleep to the gentle sound of waves.
