Kathryn Nicolai is the creator of the enormously successful podcast Nothing Much Happens® and the author of the book of the same name. Nothing Much Happens® is consistently ranked in the top 1% of all podcasts in the world and has received over 150 million downloads. It has been recognized in many articles for its excellence, originality, and production design, and Kathryn herself has become a leading voice in self-care, contributing to articles and op-eds about sleep, wellness, and bibliotherapy. She was a featured speaker at the Integrative Mental Health Summit in 2021 and 2022. She has appeared on countless wellness and personal interest podcasts sharing her techniques and insight for achieving better sleep and more mindful days.

As an architect of cozy, she leans on her years of experience as a yoga and meditation teacher to seamlessly blend storytelling with brain training methods that build better sleep habits over time. She lives in Michigan with her wife and three dogs.

Bob Wittersheim

Audio Engineer

Bob Wittersheim (aka BeeDub) is the one who keeps listeners from hearing Kathryn’s dogs bark, her stomach growl, and her laugh and snort when she goofs up reading her wonderful stories. He’s a graduate of the Specs Howard School of Media Arts, and has worked as a professional Audio Editor & Engineer since 2011. He’s also done Sound Design for local theater companies since 2006. He sleeps well and lives very happily in Ypsilanti, Michigan, with his wife, Barbara, and an ever-fluctuating number of humans and animals.

Megan Elise is our “Fairy Podmother” tending to all community care and communication within the Village of Nothing Much with an ethos of inclusivity and loving-kindness.

She is a Michigander currently residing in Texas who spends most of her time traveling as the merch manager for her husband’s band.

When she’s not in the Village or out on the road, she loves spending time in her craft room, taking leisurely bicycle rides, and creating vegan + gluten-free meals and desserts.
